Howdy Burleson County,
My name is Macelynn Smith. I am the 17-year old daughter of Robert and Diana Smith of Caldwell. This fall, I will be a Junior at Caldwell High School. I would like to thank my sponsor the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Club for sponsoring me as a Burleson County Fair Queen Candidate. This club has helped me grow in my walk with God.
I am also a member of the Caldwell FFA Chapter, where I was a member of the Wildlife Judging Team as well as raising Jr. Breeding Heifers. I will be entering my registered Beefmaster heifer, Spicey as this year’s fair project. She is my second heifer for my Beefmaster herd. Spicey has taught me so much this past year. She has taught me that even if you slip and fall in the mud and guck, which I have, to get right back up and try again. Which has given me the confidence to run again as your next Burleson County Fair Queen.
I have been a part of the Burleson County Fair since I was in 3 rd grade. I have shown market goats and Jr Breeding Heifers. I have participated in Little Miss when I was 4 and awarded 1 st runner-up. Being a part of this great association, has instilled a love for agriculture in me. I plan on pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Science to become an Agricultural Education teacher. I look forward the opportunity to represent this great county as your 2024-2025 Burleson County Fair Queen.
